DECEIVING STATS (PLUS OTHER NUGGETS AS WELL) TO LOOK AT FROM THE NFL – WEEK 4
1). DALLAS 25 – WASHINGTON 10
Note: Washington actually outgained Dallas 297-279 total yards and ran (69-56) plays advantage. Both teams were a bad (1-3) in Red Zone. Wash Defense actually fully stopped Dallas run game allowing only (2.1) yprush. Wash Def also had 2 Int’s called back by Penalties.
2). TENNESSEE 24 – INDY 17
Note: Indy ran more plays (60-49), gained more yards (365-243) but fell behind (24-7) after horrid start with Punt, Fumble, and Missed FG early on. Indy had 3 turnovers to none for Titans. Indy had time adv. too (34-26).
3). PHILLY 29 – JAX JAGS 21
Note: Really this game wasn’t even close as Jax had 5 turnovers and Philly had huge adv. in total plays (75-42). (401-219) Total yards edge to Philly too.
4). GREEN BAY 27 – NEW ENGLAND 24 (OVERTIME)
Note: GB ran (70-54) plays adv. and had huge edge total yards too (443-271). Patriots lost starting QB Hoyer (#2) early and had Rookie QB Zappe see his first real action of his career. Pats were (15-21-104) in Pass game that was all dink and dunk.
5). ATLANTA 23 – CLEVELAND 20
Note: Browns had (70-54) total plays edge, and (403-333) total yards edge.
6). SAN FRAN 24 – LA RAMS 9
Note: LA Rams had a huge edge in first downs (21-13) and ran (66-49) total plays as well.
TURNOVER WARS RECAP:
Note: This week we had only one team (Green Bay) win even though they lost the turnover battle. Six teams lost even though they ran more plays. Four teams who had more total yards lost as well.
