NFL WEEK 9 – DECEIVING STATS FROM LAST WEEK TO TAKE NOTE OF!
NOTE 1: Only Kansas City still won the game while losing the turnover battle.
TITANS @ KANSAS CITY (KC Won 20-17)
TITANS: Defense on field an insane 87 plays. The score was close but nothing else was. KC had 499 total yards to Titans only 229. Tenny was only (1-11) on 3rd downs – KC had a huge 41 1/2 – 26 1/2 minutes time of advantage.
INDY @ NEW ENGLAND
INDY OFFENSE: (0-14) on 3rd down (I can’t recall ever seeing this bad of a third down stat). Making it worse they were (0-2) on 4th down. They ended with a horrific 121 total yards. New England scored 26 points but their Offense was brutal as well gaining only 203 total yards.
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: Were simply awful going a combined (4-15) on third and fourth downs.
GREEN BAY @ DETROIT: Detroit won (15-9) but they were dominated as GB Offense had 389-254 total yards edge. GB was (0-4) in the Red zone. GB also controlled clock (35-25) min time of poss advantage.
SEATTLE @ ARIZONA: Once again horrible Coaching by AZ HC Kingsbury. Seattle needed a very late TD to not win by only 3 points but Seattle was outstanding on third downs (10-15) on 3rd downs. AZ QB Murray was sacked 5x and almost now their norm they were (6-16) combined on 3rd/4th downs and they had a brutal bad 12 penalties and were on field 34 1/2 mins of the 60 played.
MIAMI @ CHICAGO: The Bears lost (35-32) but actually dominated the clock (35-25 mins time of possession advantage).
CAROLINA QB PJ WALKER: May have had the worst first half by any QB all season (3-10-9 yards passing). He had a (2.6) QB Rating for the game. He was pulled but somehow this new moron Carolina HC declared Walker would still start this week. That’s a clear sign the team is trying to lose. JOKE CITY!
CINCI BENGALS OFFENSIVE LINE: They take a ton of heat almost every week and it’s well deserved. I have to admit I never thought when I rewatch game tapes I’d grade this O.L. an “A” grade for a game…but they allowed only 1 sack (not even their fault) all game and played elite level. Cinci dominated this game and don’t be fooled by final score as Cinci sat Defensive starters in 4th quarter and got outscored by sub QB Baker Mayfield 14-0. Cinci Offense outgained Carolina (464-228) and did it without superstar WR Chase suiting up (out injured).
LA RAMS OFFENSE: Was F grade again and (4-15) on 3rd downs and somehow it would’ve been an F- grade but the Bucs somehow didn’t realize the Rams Offense had only 1 weapon – Cooper Kupp – and he made a gigantic TD play in first half that accounted for 80% of the Rams Offense. The Rams OL once again was awful (won’t get better either). This team is by far the biggest disappointment in the NFL and trust me folks things will not improve…this season is BUSTOLA CITY.
BALTIMORE @ NEW ORLEANS: Balty dominated this game and was outstanding (9-15) on 3rd downs while the Saints were a putrid (3-11) on 3rd downs. Balty dominated time of possession (38-22). This game was all about two awful individuals. One Saints QB Dalton who was as bad as you could be the entire game. Bad reads, bad throws and waited too long play after play. This was easy call to pull him at Halftime or at worst end of 3rd quarter as game was still in range to be still won by the Saints. But for some insane reason, even seeing Dalton was horrific (F- grade) and he had backup QB Winston ready to possible mount a comeback and give team a much needed boost. Nope….instead HC Allen let Dalton sink the ship completely without ever doing anything. Even worse he put in 3rd string/all purpose QB Hill in for plays and he dominated all the plays he took the snaps from Center. Allen is in way over his head and like his last HC stint – he sucks again badly.
