RECAPPING COLLEGE FOOTBALL “FATIGUE/TIRED LEGS” FOR LAST WEEK(S)/ (WEEK 9): (OCT. 27th– OCT. 29th)
*BE CAREFUL WHEN BETTING WEEK 10 GAMES THIS WEEK (NOV. 2-5th)*
“TIRED LEGS” DEFENSES (**These Defenses were on the field a ton of Plays last week/some a ton past 2-3-4 games!)
Ps-Remember teams on Road can’t bring full amount of players so depth can become an Issue. Playing over 75 plays or more last week can become a problem this week ….so always check travel needed this week, time zone differences, if on the Road (less players suiting up) and who are they facing this week (rested team?), (high octane Offense that might go fast in between plays this week?) ….. all these things can play HUGE as Fatigue is much more a problem this late into the season. (*also some teams haven’t had one week off yet….that’s a toll too).
SUPER “TIRED LEGS” DEPARTMENT TEAMS THIS WEEK
Note: Many teams have NOT taken a “BYE” week yet and so (150) Total plays over the past two weeks is worrisome and avg. near 80 plays last 3 or 4 weeks is “RED FLAG – WATCH OUT” situation. Always also remember the smaller schools lack depth so “Tired Legs” comes into play in a big way more so than the elite teams with very deep Depth.
1). SYRACUSE DEFENSE: On field (75) plays last week, (85) week before that = (160) past two weeks combined.
2). MIAMI-OHIO UNIV. DEFENSE: On field (75) plays average per week past 3 weeks.
3). OKLAHOMA STATE DEFENSE: On field (74) plays last week and (81) two weeks ago, (83) three weeks ago (also O.T.), and (104) total plays 4 weeks ago.
4). ARIZONA STATE DEFENSE: On field (153) plays past 2 weeks.
LAST WEEK ONLY DEFENSE’S ON THE FIELD A TON OF PLAYS:
5). OHIO STATE DEFENSE: (80)
6). LOUISVILLE (90)
7). MICHIGAN STATE (78)
8). CINCI (84)
9). OLD DOMINION (83)
10). OKLAHOMA (84)
11). COLORADO STATE (79)
12). TULSA (78)
13). TEXAS TECH (79)
14). ARIZONA (77)
15). TEXAS A+M (83)
16). FLA. ATLANTIC (76)
17). WYOMING (75)
FINAL NOTE: Going into last week’s game the Oklahoma State was on the field an insane (90) plays average the prior three games combined and last week, no shock from me, the Defense finally ran fully out of gas vs. Kansas State. They allowed 495 total yards in (48-0) loss and likely could’ve been worse if score not so lopsided. It’s now very late into the CFB season and “TIRED LEGS” is now a serious concern and now the first thing I am looking at in my lengthy handicapping process for the new week. Be careful betting teams with Defenses that are very tired as it’s a serious concern this late into the season.
