RECAPPING COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR LAST WEEK(S) (WEEK 7): (OCT. 13TH– OCT. 16TH)
“TIRED LEGS” DEFENSES (**These Defenses were on the field a ton of Plays last week/some a ton past 2 games!)
Ps-Remember teams on Road can’t bring full amount of players so depth can become an Issue. Playing over 75 plays or more last week can become a problem this week ….so always check travel needed this week, time zone differences, if on the Road (less players suiting up) and who are they facing this week (rested team?), (high octane Offense that might go fast in between plays this week?)…all these things can play HUGE as Fatigue is much more a problem this late into the season. (*also some teams haven’t had one week off yet….that’s a toll too).
SUPER “TIRED LEGS” DEPARTMENT TEAMS THIS WEEK
Note: Many teams have NOT taken a “BYE” week yet and so (150) Total plays over the past two weeks is worrisome. Always also remember the smaller schools lack depth so “Tired Legs” comes into play in a big way more so than the elite teams with very deep Depth.
1). TCU DEFENSE: On field last week (77) plays (OT too), (72), (81), and (86) plays so very tiring last 4 games overall.
2). OKLAHOMA STATE DEFENSE: On field (83) plays (OT too) last week, (104) two weeks ago so insane (187) plays past 2 weeks.
3). ALABAMA DEFENSE: On field (227) total plays past 3 weeks combined so avg. (76) plays per week at this point in season and tired legs could start to show up now.
4). NORTCH CAROLINA DEFENSE: On field (154) plays last two weeks.
5). CLEMSON DEFENSE: On field (76 and 77) plays past two weeks.
6). TOLEDO DEFENSE: On field (162) plays past two weeks.
7). KANSAS DEFENSE: On field (100) plays last week and now play a speedy Baylor team so tired legs could allow big plays.
8). BYU DEFENSE: On field (82) plays last week vs. physical pounding Arkansas Offense/ (155) total plays last 2 weeks combined.
9). INDIANA DEFENSE: On field (82) plays last week and (76) plays week before that – (158) past two weeks combined. (246) total plays past 3 weeks combined and they have no depth on Defense at all.
10). SMU DEFENSE: On field an insane (101) plays last week.
11). MINNESOTA DEFENSE: On field last week (86) plays.
12). NEBRASKA DEFENSE: On field insane (101) plays last week.
