BAD BEATS OF WEEK (Sorry folks…it happens to us all at some point).
COLLEGE FOOTBALL – WEEK 6 BAD BEATS
1). WYOMING/NEW MEXICO ~ “OVER 37” = WYOMING got a Pick 6 TD w/1 min. to go to make an Under turn into Over winner.
2). HOUSTON/MEMPHIS (-1 1/2) = HOUSTON scored TD on 4th down, then got on sides kick, then scored TD w/18 secs to win by 1.
3). OREGON ST/STANFORD (+4) (53) = DOUBLE WHAMMY – O.ST. scores TD (56 yd pass) to turn Stan & Under into OSt & Over (28-27).
4). OLE MISS (-17)/ VANDY = OLE MISS scored a meaningless TD with .18 seconds left to cover spread winning 52-28.
5). OHIO ST/MICH STATE (TOTAL 65) = MICH STATE scores a TD late in 4th to send the game Over the total (OST 49- MST 20)
6). FLA ST (MONEYLINE BET)/NC ST = FLA ST threw INT late at NC ST 22, lost 19-17 costing any Moneyline bets.
7). TEXAS A+M (MONEYLINE BET)/BAMA = A+M was at Bama 2 end of game and missed final pass for TD & Huge ML payoff.
8). BYU (+4)/NDAME = BYU late at ND 27 couldn’t gain a yard for first down and lost (28-20).
NFL WEEK 6 – BAD BEATS
1). SEATTLE (+5 1/2)/SAINTS = Seattle was looking good up 1 late and Saints needed TD & 2 pt conv to lose the cover. Saints did both to win (39-32).
2). TENNY/WASHINGTON (PK) (43) = Washington had first & goal at 1 and didn’t score making Titans cover pointspread and Wash backers crying and the no TD at 1 also meant the game stayed UNDER the Total making for more really sad OVER bettors.
3). EAGLES/CARDINALS (MONEYLINE BETTORS) = ARIZONA missed late FG to send game in OT for possible nice Moneyline cash…they did at least still cover the (+5) pointspread.
4). PITT/BILLS TOTAL (44) = The two teams combined to miss 3 field goals and Pitt had ball inside 20 (heck 10) numerous times only to always try for the TD, never getting even one and keeping total Under (38-3).
5). RAIDERS (MONEYLINE BETTORS)/CHIEFS= RAIDERS go for 2 point conv after last TD instead of taking the Tie, causing anyone on Raiders Moneyline to burn up their tickets.
6). LAC/CLEVE (MONEYLINE BETTORS) = CLEVELAND missed a 54 yard FG with .16 seconds to go to lose by 2 points (30-28).
